Maybe you’ve heard WPMU Dev isn’t creating themes anymore but instead focusing on compatibility per their article dated April 23, 2018 and linked here. It’s a great article!
There were only a few clients who came aboard already using these themes. Never-the-less, issues with compatibility were experienced, unfortunately. It got to the point where we (as a company of savvy devs) couldn’t accept the work client’s asked for because it would be a risk purely based on the already chosen theme.
Switch Upfront theme to something else
Most weren’t married to their theme choice; which was awesome and still the project turned out great. Some weren’t. Those that weren’t inevitability had to choose another theme and start again.
I’m not one to ever say, “told ya so.” However prefer to reflect on our own journey with various themes over the years.
This experience was in fact *your journey* to website glory (hopefully) and you are now further savvy… That truly is the way it goes and that is just fine with us.
WPMU Dev was and *still is* a great choice for their plugins, support and more. I still love and will always use WPMU Dev tools when they are needed; which is frequently. 🙂
